Position-Construction Laborer

Alliance Cabling, Inc. Laborers are the core backbone of the company as they work in cooperation with Foremen and Field Supervisors. Construction Laborers are team players in completing Alliance Cabling, variety of construction projects; which may include high-rises, new neighborhood developments, commercial buildings, residential builds, schools, etc. Alliance Cabling, has the highest commitment to quality, and our workforce takes tremendous pride in our completed projects.

All Commercial and residential projects are considered time-sensitive projects.

“Time-sensitive” projects consist of deadlines or due dates needed in a timely manner.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Repair and or replacement of coax and fiber system plant.
  • Work in joint trench lines and place conduit according to system design demands.
  • Repair or replacement of damaged vaults.
  • Minimal directional boring.
  • Operate motorized equipment including power tools, saws, etc.
  • Understanding of system designs.
  • Perform functions according to company and OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Single and Multi dwelling unit wiring (prewire, service drops).
  • Ensure public safety measures per safety watchbook manual ordinance.
  • Pour and concrete form.
  • Handling of heavy material in a safe manner.
  • Ability to carry 50 to 90lb material.
  • Drive company vehicles
  • Clean and prepare sites to eliminate possible hazards

Requirements:

  • Must be able to adhere to all safety requirements
  • Must be able to work safety in all surroundings, and with team members.
  • Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required for this position.
  • Perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
  • Use hands and fingers fully; reach for, manipulate and feel objects; stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl; potentially for long periods.
  • Climb and maintain body balance on ladders, scaffolding, or high structures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Work safely and successfully as a team.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions with moderate supervision.
  • California Drivers License preferred but not mandatory.
